The Chrisleys, according to Joe Giudice, were “crucified” in the tax fraud trial Following his own incarceration
Joe believes that Todd and Julie’s decision to proceed with the trial eventually had a detrimental effect on them and caused them to receive a harsher punishment. In addition, the ex-RHONJ star claimed that the long-term marriage may have fared better if they “would have taken the plea” as he did with Teresa.
“They would have most likely received a warning, served time in prison, and possibly the wife would have served Teresa’s same sentence, if not longer. And since he could have completed the drug program and is a citizen, in addition to other factors, he would have received the same punishment as I did and would have been released in about 17 months “Joe clarified. “But OK, given that he appeared in court. Sure, they crucified him. You get double the time.”
