• After 20 years of marriage, Toni Collette and her husband are divorcing.
• Less than a week after returning to the social media site, the Stowaway actress, 50, revealed her separation from Dave Galafassi, 44, on Instagram on Wednesday.
• Collette released a statement that said, “It is with grace and thankfulness that we announce we are divorcing,” on behalf of both herself and her former spouse.

She posted a picture of a floral arrangement with the words “PEACE & LOVE” and a note that read, “We’re unified in our choice and part with continuous respect and care for each other.”

They continued by saying that their priority are their children, son Arlo Robert, 11, and daughter Sage Florence, 14.

“Our children are everything to us, and we will continue to thrive as a family, even if in a different form,”

They concluded with a message of appreciation and said, “We appreciate the room and affection you give us as we grow and quietly navigate this transition. Huge thanks”

“No matter what your current circumstances are, if you can dream something better for yourself, you can create it,” Collette wrote on her Instagram Story prior to the announcement post.

Collette’s statement comes as images of Galafassi and another lady kissing on a beach in Sydney, Australia, the day before have come to light. The musician and the woman can also be seen sitting together, holding hands in the water, and exchanging several kisses in the pictures that were released by The Daily Mail.

A request for comment  was not immediately answered by Collette’s representatives. Galfassi’s representative could not be reached right away.

In a Buddhist ceremony, Collette and Galfassi exchanged vows in 2003.

After announcing her pregnancy the previous summer, they welcomed Sage in January 2008.

At the time, she told the Associated Press, “We’re utterly over the moon.

Colette continued, “It’s strange because I’ve been pregnant for the last three movies I’ve done. “What exactly is the world trying to tell me, I wonder? But in my opinion, everything occurs when it is supposed to.”

Then, in April 2011, Arlo Robert was born in Australia.
