A$AP Rocky victorious returns to live music, despite how impatiently the world waits for it. The Grammy-nominated rapper discussed Rihanna’s upcoming performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which will be her first public appearance since the 2018 Grammy Awards, with Zane Lowe on the Apple Music 1 station on Wednesday.

Rocky told Apple Music, “I’m very thrilled that my lady’s back doing music again and whatnot, and getting back out there.” “It’s really amazing,”

He continued, “The Super Bowl is huge, and her being creative she is, she going to bring it, man. I’m excited. I’m more excited than everybody else, honestly.”

The 34-year-old Rocky and Rihanna started dating in November 2020 after almost ten years of friendship. In May 2022, the couple gave birth to a son, the news reported at the time. Both the “Diamonds” singer and the “L.S.D.” rapper have gushed about their 8-month-old, expressing their love for their new parental roles.

After performing “Same Problems?” live on Amazon Music Live during Thursday Night Football, Rocky released the song on Wednesday. The song is a remembrance of the several burgeoning hip-hop musicians that have passed away too soon in recent years. Rocky’s performance is captured on camera for the music video, which also features images of the deceased rappers flashing on the screen next to him.

Rocky admitted to Apple Music that the song’s inspiration came from a “sense of shame,” worried that his lyrics, which frequently extol drug use and excessive partying, may have contributed to the issue.

Without getting too religious, Rocky said to Lowe, “I just wanted to touch on something a little different instead of just being braggadocious, showy, and just standard rap stuff for me. “I didn’t want to preach; I just wanted to be able to express myself. We can all relate, I believe. We share the same issues.”

“Especially for both of us, it is a good year for both of us to be more active and be out there,” Rocky said.
