At the 80th Golden Globe Awards, Kaley Cuoco’s growing baby bulge was a major topic of discussion, but her hair makeover is generating just as much excitement.

The 37-year-old Flight Attendant actress debuted brown hair on the red carpet at the 80th annual awards ceremony on January 10, a notable departure from her usual sunny blonde.

The native of California paired her new hair color with a lavender Vera Wang gown adorned with crystals, which was the ideal complement to the brunette shade.

Celebrity hairstylist Christine Symonds used Clariol Professional products to give Cuoco’s hair a “contemporary French twist” and soft curtain bangs.

“The dress was ethereal and had the most beautiful bows and jewels on the straps, so we knew we wanted the hair up to not distract from the simple elegance of the dress,” Symonds tells news. They decided on the French twist was the perfect combination of “clean and classic.”

It’s hard to believe, but “the look didn’t take long at all,” according to Symonds. “To enhance her hue and gently condition the hair, we first treated her hair with Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights Leave-In Styling Treatment ($13).

Before giving her a voluminous blow dry, I applied Clairol Shimmer Lights Thermal Shine Spray ($11) on her hair to add shine and provide heat protection. “Once she was wearing the dress, we twisted her hair and pinned it back.”

At the 2019 Golden Globes, many celebs, including Cuoco, wore their hair up in a bun. Only a few other celebrities, like Liza Koshy, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Jessica Chastain, adopted the red-carpet-ready look.
