Olivia Wilde posted a scene from Tropical Malady on her Instagram Stories on January 10 with the caption, “I’d hate to die without having loved.”

Two months after news reported that Wilde and Styles, 28, had ended their relationship, the actress made a subtly worded social media post. The former couple gained notoriety for their high-profile romance before their breakup after meeting on the set of Don’t Worry Darling.

Following the musician’s replacement of Shia LaBeouf as Florence Pugh’s love interest in the movie, relationship rumors about Styles and the OC alum first surfaced. The Booksmart director and the My Policeman actor were seen holding hands while visiting his manager’s wedding in January 2021.

Jason Sudeikis and Wilde’s children, Otis, 8, and Daisy, 6, are her children. Wilde has frequently defended her relationship with Styles.

“The last two years, my family has gone through this kind of restructuring and a revolution that should be a totally personal experience,” she told Variety in August 2022. “And it’s not. The most painful element of it has been women shaming me for making a decision that was for my own health and happiness. … When people see me not with my kids, it’s always, ‘How dare she.’ I’ve never seen anyone say that about a guy. In the meantime, the British native gave Rolling Stone an explanation of why he prefers to keep his personal life private, saying, “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s helped me positively. There will always be one version of a story, and I just resolved not to waste my time attempting to change it or steer it in a different direction.

The House alum later hit back against assertions that her romances overlapped in any way. In September 2022, she told Vanity Fair, “The whole horses—t concept that I left Jason for Harry is completely untrue. Before I met Harry, our relationship was already over.

“Olivia is still very much upset about the breakup,” the insider shared with news in December 2022, noting that the New York native was “trying” to move on. “Olivia thought going on vacation would allow her to decompress.”
