Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva had a beautiful evening at the premiere of his newest movie. Along with Gere’s co-stars Emma Roberts and Susan Sarandon, Gere, 73, and Silva, 39, made a rare appearance on the red carpet at a special screening of Maybe I Do in New York City.

Gere and Silva, who tied the knot in a small ceremony in April 2018, stayed close on the red carpet on Tuesday. They held hands and embraced as they posed for pictures. After the occasion, Gere praised Roberts, 31, saying that she “has one of the most demanding roles” in the most recent romantic comedy.

“It goes without saying that I enjoyed working with her aunt, but she has a unique personality. She pursues her own career and operates on her own.” Gere answered when questioned about working with Roberts during the event on Tuesday. The actor and Julia Roberts, Roberts’ aunt, starred together in the movies Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride.

Gere remarked on Emma’s position in Maybe I Do, “She has one of the most challenging jobs, the straight and narrow amid the crazy adults.” “I believe she did fantastically,”

Gere and Silva made headlines in 2018 when they announced they were getting married and wanted to start a family, despite having a 33-year age difference.
