Recently, a disturbing glimpse at the upcoming thriller Devil’s Peak was revealed in a trailer. On February 24, 2023, Devil’s Peak will be made available on demand after debuting in theatres on February 17, 2023.

The David Joy book Where All Light Tends to Go served as the inspiration for the movie. The book, which was first released in 2015, tells the narrative of one boy’s struggle to overcome the dark legacy of his family’s involvement in the drug trade in the area while also serving as a brutal criminal thriller. Devil’s Peak tells the tale of Jacob McNeely, a young man divided between his loyalty to the father of his crime lord and the lady of his dreams. The novel is set in the North Carolina Appalachian Mountains. He will have to deal with the full force of his father’s violent impulses if he wants to break free from the criminal life by birth.

Billy Bob Thornton, a living legend, plays Jacob’s father. Hopper Penn, the son of Sean Penn and Robin Wright, portrays Jacob. As Penn’s patient mother, Robin Wright co-stars in the movie with her son. Katelyn Nacon also appears in the movie. With such a strong ensemble, the movie will undoubtedly convey both grit and gravity. The movie will present a universally relatable yet distinctive tale while also shedding light on an often obscure part of the US.

We get a glimpse of Jacob’s predicament in the newest trailer. The first scene of the trailer shows Jacob driving his pick-up truck through rural areas. He describes the unique limitations in his life as well as the remote area where he resides. The preview quickly transitions to Jacob’s family environment and the fear that his father inflicts on both him and his mother, who is frequently the target of his father’s violent outbursts.

Ben Young, who previously helmed the movies Extinction from 2018 and Hounds of Love from 2016, is the director of Devil’s Peak. Chicken Soup for the Soul-owned film distribution business Screen Media purchased the movie in January. Along with Robin Wright, Griff Furst, Josh Kesselman, Jamie Hilton, Robert Knott, and Griff Furst, the crime drama is produced by them.

The movie will be shown in theatres the following week, on February 17, 2023. On February 24, 2023, the movie will be made available on demand.
