The release of the Fast X trailer is quickly approaching, and for franchise fans, the previous week has been a trip down memory lane. Fans have relived some of the franchise’s most important moments thanks to the legacy trailers that have been released in advance of the new one. They have also been thrilled by all the action-packed racing sequences, been reminded of the “ride or die” mentality, and felt sentimental upon seeing familiar faces that feel like family.

With the release of the The Fate of the Furious teaser, we can revisit the film that started the long-running franchise’s latest novel. When Dom betrayed the family for their own benefit, they didn’t give up on him, as the legacy teaser tells us. The trailer describes the crazy amazing journey the film turned out to be, complete with car chases and big action scenes.

The eighth film in the Fast series, which is directed by F. Gary  from a screenplay by Chris Morgan, features the marriage of Dom and Letty, the retirement of Brian and Mia, and the restoration of some kind of regular life for the rest of the cast following the events of Furious 7. Things go wrong, though, as Dom is coerced into betraying his family by a strange lady named Cipher. To return him to his family and prevent Cipher from causing cyber mayhem, the group gathers. Vin Diesel plays Dom in the film, Michelle Rodriguez plays Letty, Dwayne Johnson plays Hobbs, Jason Statham plays Shaw, Tyrese Gibson plays Roman, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges plays Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel plays Ramsey, and Charlize Theron plays Cipher, among other franchise staples.

For the cast that we have grown to love and adore over the years, the upcoming Fast X is being hailed as the “beginning of the end of the journey.” Fans continue to support the franchise as the ideal popcorn entertainer, regardless of how absurd the vehicle stunts or narrative become. Many well-known characters will make a triumphant comeback in the upcoming film, along with a few new ones. Fans can anticipate it to be another mind-blowing experience with high-octane stunts and the family theme at its centre, even though the story details are being kept carefully under wraps.

The cast of Fast X includes Scott Eastwood as Eric, Michael Rooker as Buddy, Helen Mirren as Magdalene, Cardi B as Leysa, and Charlize Theron as Cipher. Diesel plays Dom, Rodrigues plays Letty, Statham plays Shaw, Gibson plays Roman, John Cena plays Jakob, Jason Momoa plays Dante, Jordana Brewster plays Mia, Brie Larson plays Tess, Sung Kang plays Han
