Kelly Clarkson and Pink, two of the best vocalists alive, have collaborated on a duet. Prior to Pink’s Trustfall album’s release on February 17, the two superstars will collaborate for an entire hour on The Kelly Clarkson Show. They teased the upcoming show with a sneak preview of both singers duetting a rendition of the acrobatic pop star’s 2017 single “What About Us.”

Pink and Clarkson discussed the song’s inspiration before an acoustic guitarist started playing the song, which was featured on the Beautiful Trauma album 2017. The 43-year-old “Who Knew” performer stated, “We’re not listening to each other right now, and it’s so loud and so disgusting and angry. And since some people don’t believe in them, individuals are being ignored, being counted out, and having their rights violated.

Pink continued, “I don’t understand how so many people in this world are discounted because one group of people decided they don’t like that, and I won’t have it. One of the most beautiful things that my dad taught me was that my voice matters and I can make a difference, and I will.”

“One person can change a lot,” she added. “I think if we all had a chance to experience each other more, it would be a lot different.”

The concert was then introduced by Clarkson, 40. What about all the times you claimed to have the solutions? The Grammy winners harmonized their vocals. What about us? What about all the unfulfilled happiness ever after? What about all the misguided plans? What about love? What about trust? What about us?

Pink wore red track trousers with a white patterned shirt and a black blazer for the seated performance, and Clarkson wore a long green dress with a brown thick belt to cinch her waist.

The “So what” singer discussed her new album Trustfall in another teaser clip that was made available before the show was scheduled to run, stating that its subject is “like the world is dying.”

“I’m still a wife and a daughter and a mother, and I lost my dad, and it’s the pandemic. Then, my almost dearest friend in the whole world died eight months later, and I’m still parenting and all of these things,” said Pink. “So, you write all those songs, and then you get to a point where you’re like, ‘Well if we are sliding sideways off the axis, let’s dance.”
