A documentary about the life and career of actress Mary Tyler Moore is coming to HBO. Being Mary Tyler Moore, a brand-new film from Emmy-winning director James Adolphus, seeks to highlight the actor’s groundbreaking roles and the indelible impact she had on generations of women who came after her by chronicling her personal and professional achievements over the course of six decades.

In the upcoming documentary, Moore’s family, friends, and the people whose lives she influenced will tell their stories. The film will also star actors like Ed Asner, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lena Waithe, Phylicia Rashad, Bernadette Peters, and Joel Grey as well as filmmakers like Rob Reiner, Michael Lindsay-Hogg, and Jim Burrows. In addition, Moore’s husband, Dr. S. Robert Levine, and other writers and producers who collaborated with Moore, including Allan Burns, James L. Brooks, Norman Lear, Debra Martin Chase, Treva Silverman, and Susan Silver, will discuss Moore as a person and an artist.
