Law Roach is protecting his friendship with Zendaya.

The 44-year-old image architect and longtime stylist made it clear on Wednesday that his friendship with the Euphoria actress is still going strong. Once a video of the two was widely shared, many assumed that there were problems between them.

In the video taken earlier this month, Zendaya, 26, enters the Louis Vuitton presentation during Paris Fashion Week wearing a stunning outfit with tiger print designed by Roach. She then takes the last spot in the front row. Then Roach enters and approaches her from behind. Zendaya appears to be motioning for him to take a seat in the second row as she points to a seat behind her.

The fashion legend is currently addressing allegations that the two have broken up as a result of the incident.

“So y’all really think I’m breaking up with Z….. we are forever!” he began in a series of pointed tweets. “She’s my little sister and it’s real love not the fake industry love.”

His explanation follows his announcement that he is resigning and leaving the fashion industry due to “politics” and “falsehoods” the day prior.

Roach announced his retirement on Instagram on Tuesday. He has previously worked with celebrities like Kerry Washington, Hailee Steinfeld, Hunter Schafer, Megan Thee Stallion, and Issa Rae.

“My Cup is empty,” Roach wrote alongside an image of the word “Retired.”

“Thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years,” he continued. “Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all.”

Then Roach clarified that the politics of the industry, not fashion itself, had driven his choice. “If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out,” he said.

Although Roach did not expressly mention the “false narratives” or “lies” he had to deal with, several of his followers on Twitter and TikTok made reference to the fashion show video.
