It’s hard to imagine that horror movie lovers have been without Scream VI for a week. The eagerly awaited New York City rampage delivered on all of the franchise fans’ expectations and then some. The sixth installment continues to break opening weekend movie office records after shattering Scream’s mark. To continue the Scream celebration, Cavity Colors has now included a new Saint Patrick’s Day design to their Ghostface line.

Ghostface is seen in the new t-shirt design by artist Puis Calzada doing their job while slashing at an invisible victim with a bloody knife. Yet, given that Ghostface is sporting a green mask and is festively dressed, this is not just any old Ghostface. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, a question with the phrase “Do You Feel Lucky?” appears beneath the horror icon. The cheerful green typeface that quickly fades into blood-red suggests that someone won’t make it to March 18 alive. Perhaps Ghostface is a Clint Eastwood fan.

Beginning on March 17 (Saint Patrick’s Day), the design will be offered for three days only in two variations: black and green tie-dye. Cavity Colors has recently released an NYC Ghostface collection modeled on how the villain appears in Scream VI, continuing its recent trend of showing Scream a lot of love.

The Ghostface Legacy

While the Ghostface mask existed before Scream made its debut in 1996, Wes Craven’s masterful whodunit slasher, which gave rise to one of the most popular horror series in history, is responsible for popularising the outfit. Five film sequels to Scream have been released more than 25 years later, and the movie also spawned a three-season, criminally neglected MTV television series. But, it wasn’t until Scream (2022), directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, that regular moviegoers were reminded of Ghostface’s terrifying potential.

The success of that movie—which earned over $130 million worldwide—led to the release of Scream VI earlier this month. Scream VI was yet another crazily entertaining episode in the series, which is unusual for a horror franchise. Everything was turned up to the most horrible degree, from the killing to the terrifying thrills.

It brought the delicious Meta chuckles along with it, and like all the best Scream movies, it kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat gasping for air the entire time. But, the “Core Four” were really what distinguished this movie from the others. Sam (Melissa Barrera), Tara (Jenna Ortega), Chad (Mason Gooding), and Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) added a feel-good family element to all the scares in this specific nightmare. They were incredibly endearing, served to keep us from missing Sidney Prescott, and advanced the series in some very thrilling ways. Also, the blood-soaked success of this sequel indicates that Ghostface is probably not done with us yet.
