The Keanu Reeves-led film, John Wick: Chapter 4, is just days away, and fans can’t wait. It promises to be more spectacular and grand than ever. The movie is described as “Glorious,” “Epic,” and “Badass” in the early reviews. After the events of Chapter 3 – Parabellum, our beloved assassin is on the run and undoubtedly facing off against the High Table. But first, he must contend with Marquis de Garmont, who is portrayed by Bill Skarsgard.

The latest trailer released by the film’s official social media accounts reveals the difficulties Marquis would subject John to. In the brief peek, we see John asking Winston, “Who is this?” as he finds a new medallion. The latter reveals that he is a member of the High Table and is in possession of all available tools. The Marquis appears to be a new antagonist for the series and a genuine danger to John. The ultimate confrontation between the two will be incredibly interesting to watch.

Who is Marquis de Garmont, played by Bill Skarsgard?

 While most films consider a trilogy to be the conclusion of the plot, Lionsgate soon made the decision to please fans with two additional installments in the franchise following the enormous success of Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The stakes in Chapter 4 are quite high because the world has been established across three movies. It would have been a difficult task for the film’s creators to introduce a deserving antagonist for the deadly assassin. Skarsgrd’s character was previously defined by franchise director Chad Stahleski as follows:

“He’s the one in charge of tidying up all the messes from the first three movies, however, I wouldn’t say he’s the adversary”.

Marquis has numerous reasons and the resources to give John a serious run for his money, especially in light of the messes he’s made in the last few movies and the hint of power we get from the new footage. In the new feature, the pecking order has been “completely rebooted,” according to Stahleski, and Marquis has been “brought in to reset the calendar.” This matchup might be one of the most exciting bouts on the big screen this year thanks to Reeves and Skarsgrd’s powerhouse acting abilities and the sophisticated John Wick universe.

For John Wick: Chapter 4, the filmmakers hope to surpass the previous movies’ body count and action sequences. The film, directed by Stahleski, was written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch and based on characters created by Derek Kolstad.
