9 children die of medical negligence in Jacobabad, Hafizabad

Four newborns passed away in a private hospital of Jacobabad after oxygen ran out. Whereas, a similar case was reported from the nursery of DHQ hospital Hafizabad district, where five children passed away due to medical negligence.

According to details, four newborns reportedly got suffocated to death after oxygen allegedly ran off from the incubator of a private hospital at Jacobabad’s Thal area.

Families of the demised children staged protests against the hospital management and accused that the incident took place due to the negligence of hospital administration.

On the other hand, the hotel management says that the oxygen cylinder was being changed after it ran out of oxygen, meanwhile, the children passed away.

Families demanded legal action against the hospital. However, no statements came out from Health or District Ministry.

A similar case was reported at DHQ hospital of Punjab’s Hafizabad district, where five children died of medical negligence.

Two of the deceased children belong to Jalalpur Bhattian, whereas, others belong to different areas.

Families of the children claimed that the incident took place because of medical negligence last night. On-duty doctors and nurses were sleeping when condition of the children went severe, parents told media during protests.
