Automatic thermal scanners installed at four airports of Pakistan to check the symptoms of coronavirus in the passengers arriving from abroad.

As per details, media reports said

Automatic thermal scanners installed at four airports of Pakistan to check the symptoms of coronavirus in the passengers arriving from abroad.

The scanners installed at Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar.

Medical teams deployed at the airports have so far scanned more than 600,000 passengers arriving by international flights.

Initially, a thermal scanner installed at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) after which Jinnah International Airport Karachi, Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore and Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar also provided with the machines.

Installation of the thermal scanners will help the health authorities complete the scanning of passengers in a shortest possible time.

Passengers and crew members of all international flights are scanned for symptoms of coronavirus and suspected passengers are quarantined and later shifted to government hospitals for further treatment.

The government has imported five latest scanners, four of which installed in the airports while the remaining one kept at a standby.

On the other hand, all educational institutions in Sindh closed until March 13, the Sindh government has announced.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah made the decision about the closure of the province’s educational institutions.

According to Shah, this closure would enable the completion of the quarantine period for suspected coronavirus patients.

The Sindh universities and boards department issued a notification to all public and private sector universities across the province, instructing them to remain closed until March 13.
