The tally of national cases of the polio disease has risen to 70 after another case has been reported from Sindh province.

According to the details, the provincial health department said a one and half-year-old child hailing from the Jacobabad area of the Sindh province was confirmed to be battling with the crippling disease.

“She lives in union council Taj Khoso of the Jacobabad,” the sources in the health ministry confirmed.

They further said that the samples of the child for the polio test were collected on 27 and 29 August.

On August 16, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that polio had been eradicated from the whole world, except Pakistan and Afghanistan.
