On Friday, a new polio case has been reported in Bahawalpur’s Ahmedpur East tehsil.

According to the details, the provincial tally reached 10 after a new polio case has been registered. As per the health officials, the neck, legs, hands, and face of the child have been affected by the poliovirus.

This is the second polio case in Punjab reported this year, whereas, the total count across the country reached 74.

Earlier in the same month on 17th September, a 21-month-old girl was affected by the poliovirus in Rahim Yar Khan.

According to the details, the crippling disease had affected both the hands and legs of the girl.
