COVID-19: 26 Karachi regions announced as most vulnerable spots

According to the Sindh health department, the most prone areas to be affected by coronavirus have grown to 26 across the country.

The last 24 hours account for over 170 coronavirus cases. Moreover, according to the provincial health department, the susceptible areas of Karachi central district grew to eight along with four areas of the Malir district.

Five regions were included as hot spot zones for each of the Korangi and East districts of the city. Another two vulnerable areas are declared from each district south and district west. Furthermore, the dynamic number of Covid-19 cases in Karachi has moved to 2,162.

Earlier, a micro lockdown was imposed in Karachi’s Malir area on 3rd October after a quick spike in Coronavirus cases.

The micro lockdown has been imposed in the district till October 15 in accordance with the powers conferred by Section 3(3) of the Sindh Epidemic Diseases Act 2014.

The deputy commissioner ordered a lockdown after taking into consideration the recommendations of the Malir district health officer.
