After the UK, China has also vowed to provide millions of coronavirus vaccines to countries globally.

China will be sending hundreds of millions of doses in the coming months to countries that have carried out last-stage trials for its leading candidates. Chinese leaders have also vowed to prepare a growing list of developing countries that will be given priority access to its successful vaccines.

The vaccines can also be used by Beijing as “an instrument for foreign policy to promote soft power and project international influence,” said Yanzhong Huang, a senior fellow for global health at the Washington-based Council on Foreign Relations.

According to the foreign media source, these vaccines will be stored inside a gray warehouse at the Shenzhen International Airport in southern China. The warehouse is composed of white chambers in a corner, each fitted with a display screen showing the temperature inside. Anyone entering the warehouse has to either go through two weeks of quarantine or wear a head-to-toe hazmat suit.

As per the details, China currently has five coronavirus candidates from four companies that have reached phase 3 trials. Chinese drugmakers have rolled out phase 3 trials in at least 16 countries.
