Iranian ambassador to United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi, said that as long as US economic terrorism continues against Iran, there is no scope for talks.

According to details, the Iranian ambassador in the United States reacted to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s statement where he indicated that Trump is ready to meet the Iranian president without preconditions.

In an interview to Iranian state media Majid Takht Ravanchi rejected the possibility of the meeting between Iranian President Hassan Rouhani with US President Donald Trump, he said there is no room for dialogue with the United States unless Washington lifts all of  its sanctions and “economic terrorism” policy against Iran.

The Iranian ambassador further said that Iran has repeatedly announced that as long as the US administration’s economic terrorism and cruel sanctions against the Iranian people continue, there is no scope for negotiations.

Tehran categorically said that there is no room for negotiation with pressure unless US lifts its sanctions and starts respecting the rights of the Iranian nation.

The Iranian delegation declared the dismissal of US Secretary of State John Bolton a “foreign matter”.

Earlier last month, in August, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani rejected an offer to meet with US President Donald Trump.

It should be noted that the ongoing tensions between the US and Iran escalated when US President Donald Trump announced new sanctions on Iran following the withdrawal of the nuclear deal between international powers and Iran in 2015.
