Seven people were reportedly killed and eleven were injured as stormy rain hits Saudi Arabia’s Hafar-al-Batin.

According to a foreign news agency, seven people were killed and 11 were stormed by the torrential rains that began Friday morning.

Saudi Defense Department says that 16 people trapped in the flood rally have been taken to a safe places.

According to reports, 40 vehicles were completely destroyed in traffic accidents due to rain, while houses and roofs were also damaged.

The flood waters have entered homes and 1176 endangered people have contacted aid agencies, sources said.

According to local media, torrential rains in Al-Khafaji and Al-Qur’a al-Alia including Hafr al-Batin started at 7 am on Friday and continued till Sunday night.

Heavy rains continued into the flood-like situation and water entered the houses, officials said.

Citizens Defense is using the resources available to estimate the total loss and provide relief to the public.
