Manmohan Singh accepts invitation to be a part of Kartarpur inaugration

According to details, Manmohan Singh has accepted the invitation to be a part of the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur Gurdwara.

Indian CM’s spokesperson took his twitter to share the news that Former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh has accepted the invite to join 1st Jatha to Sri Kartarpur Gurdwara on Nov 9, will also attend Sultanpur Lodhi main event of “550 years Guru Nanak”.

Previously, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Pakistan decided to invite former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor.

He said Mr. Singh has a religious affiliation with Kartarpur, thus he and other Sikhs would be warmly welcomed to the ceremony.

The foreign minister underscored that the Kartarpur Corridor opening was a special occasion and Pakistan wanted the former Indian prime minister to be part of the historic moment.

A formal invitation was extended to the Congress leader as well, said FM Qureshi.

The Kartarpur Corridor, which will be the first visa-free route between Pakistan and India, is expected to open on November 11.
