All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed his dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Babri mosque dispute.

Talking to media in Hyderabad he said, “The Supreme Court is supreme, but not infallible. “These are not my words,” he added, “I am reiterating the words of Justice J S Verma who the Sangh Parivar held in high regard.”

He insisted that Muslims should reject the five acres given in the verdict to build a mosque. The bench has directed the Centre to allot the land to the Sunni Waqf Board.

Owaisi added that he was not satisfied with the judgment and agreed with the members of All India Muslim Personal Law Board.

Yesterday, the verdict on Babri Mosque land in Ayodhya, was announced by Supreme Court of India that the ownership of disputed religious site will be given to Hindus for the construction of a temple.

According to the details, the five-judge bench, in a unanimous decision over the Babri Mosque site, asked the government to set up of a trust that will construct a temple for Hindu deity Ram.

They ruled that it is an undisputed faith of Hindus that Lord Ram was born under one of the domes.

Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict in Babri Mosque case apparently reflects the bigoted ideology of Modi government.

In his statement today, he also expressed surprise as to why did the day of opening of Kartarpur Corridor was chosen by the Indian apex court for the verdict in Babri Mosque case.
