In occupied Kashmir (IoK), the situation continues to remain far from normal in the Kashmir Valley as well as Muslim majority areas of Jammu and Ladakh regions as New Delhi-imposed clampdown in the name of security entered 100th running day, today.

Apart from heavy presence of Indian forces, restrictions under Section 144 remain enforced in the territory. Internet across all platforms, SMS and prepaid mobile services remain totally snapped in the Valley and Muslim areas of Jammu region

As a form of passive resistance against Indian occupation and its Aug 5 illegal actions, the people living in the Kashmir Valley continue to keep their business establishments closed and stay away from offices and educational institutions.

Most of the public transport also is off the roads.

Shops open only for couple of hours in the morning or evening only to cater to the daily needs of the people.
