Thousands of police have been deployed in many cities yesterday to control protests in India.

Unfortunately, mobile internet services are also suspended in cities, particularly in Uttar Pradesh.

However, even in such critical situations, thousands of people are protesting peacefully holding placards and Indian flags, as they reject the controversial citizenship law that discriminates Muslims.

Despite the heavy presence of police, thousands of people continue standing on roads and protesting against the law. Security was strict in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

Given that at least 27 deaths have been reported nationwide due to clashes between the police and protestors. Also, thousands of protestors were also arrested.

Demonstrations were carried out after Friday prayers yesterday in the cities including Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. No act of violence was reported.

Given that five more people had died before yesterday due to violence, there were no gatherings.

According to the city police chief, around 3000 police were deployed four times more than last week.

Apart from that, police have also enforced emergency law in some parts of the capital city, New Delhi. Police have also forbidden group gatherings at public places.
