Citizenship Amendment Act in India is receiving huge criticism and opposition in all over the world.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan are also opposing the act, as it discriminates Muslims minorities in India.

Former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai the law should be extended equally to everyone.

While talking to media, Hamid Karzai said, “We don’t have persecuted minorities in Afghanistan… the whole country is persecuted. We have been in war and conflict for a long time. All religions in Afghanistan — Muslims and Hindus and Sikhs — which are our three main religions, have suffered,”

In addition to this, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has also spoken over the Citizenship Act.

She gave an interview to an international news agency, Sheikh Hasina said that the new law was not essential.

She said that Narendra More had guaranteed her that the people of Bangladesh will not be affected by the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Modi had made it confirm that NRC will be India’s internal matter.

However, India is enforcing NRC all over the country after Assam with the aim of clearing alleged illegal Bangladesh people.

Hasina said, “We don’t understand why (the Indian government) did it. It was not necessary,”

It should be remembered that Chinese spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Geng Shuang expressed his concern over the Kashmir issue. He raised the Kashmir issue at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) as a gesture of goodwill.
