Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella expresses his opinion on Indian citizenship law that discriminates Muslims.

Indian-American executive said that whatever is happening after the citizenship bill is “sad”.

He said that he would be glad to see a Bangladeshi immigrant playing an important role in the country’s technology sector.

Satya Nadella said while talking at a Microsoft event for editors in New York, “I think what is happening is sad, primarily as sort of someone who grew up there… I think it’s just bad,”

He added, “I would love to see a Bangladeshi immigrant who comes to India and creates the next unicorn in India or becomes the next CEO of Infosys,”

Satya Nadella has tweeted from Microsoft India’s official Twitter account. He said in the tweet that his expectation for “an India where an immigrant can aspire to found a prosperous start-up”.

“Every country will and should define its borders, protect national security and set immigration policy accordingly.”

It should be remembered that illegal migrants are being identified in Uttar Pradesh. The migrants, who can be eligible for citizenship under the law.

Over 32,000 migrants have been recognized in 21 of the 80 districts by the government, State minister Shrikant Sharma said.

Over 30 people have been killed in protests that were held in Uttar Pradesh.
