Washington: The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has once again warned airlines to avoid Pakistani airspace.

In a statement, the US Federal Aviation Administration said that the commercial and the state carriers could be a target of Pakistani extremist and militant groups.

According to the details, FAA warns US airlines of possible attacks while they travel in Pakistani airspace or on the ground and operating at low altitudes, including during the arrival and departure phases of flights.

“Exercise caution during flight operations,” a notice to airmen, or a NOTAM, issued by Federal Aviation Administration on December 30, 2019, said. “There is a risk to US civil aviation operating in the territory and airspace of Pakistan due to extremist/militant activity.”
