Prayers all across UAE suspended to stop spreading of Coronavirus

United Arab Emirates Government has announced the suspension of prayers at mosques and all other worship places as a precautionary measure to stop spreading of coronavirus.

UAE’s National Emergency of Crisis and Disasters Management Authority announced four weeks suspension.

The decision taken to suspend prayers in all places of worship will be effective for four weeks and reviewed after the completion of time period.

This decision of suspension is a precaution taken by the United Arab Emirates against deadly coronavirus, COVID 19.

Ministry of Health and also Emirates Fatwa Council instructed in coordination with health authorities at local and federal level.

Citizens advised to cooperate with the announcement that is said to be in peoples interest.

It is pertinent to mention that the government of UAE has suspended temporarily the issuance of entry visas in the country.

However those holding diplomatic passports, will be free from this suspension.

It is effective as of March 17 (Tuesday) today.

Moreover the United Arab Emirates UAE government said the decision does not apply to people already issued visas before effective date.

In a statement issued, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship said this step is prevent the spreading and control of deadly coronavirus.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship also added that the decision will be effective until countries of departure activate a system for screening of passengers.

Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship affirmed that decision stems from UAE’s spirit of responsibility to fight coronavirus and is in concurrence with countries of the world.
