COVID-19 Took the Lives of Hundred Doctors

Italy’s FNOMCeO health association revealed that Coronavirus pandemic that hit Italy a few weeks ago and took the lives of one hundred Italian doctors. The spokesperson further added.” The number of doctors who have died because of COVID-19 is 100 – perhaps even 101 at the moment, unfortunately.”
In addition to that the deceased doesn’t only include doctors. Around 30 nurses and nursing assistants have also lost the battle against the deadly virus, Italian media reported.
On this occasion, FNOMCeO president Filippo Anelli while discussing the condition in which Italian health workers have been working said,” We can longer allow our doctors, our health workers, to be sent to fight without any protection against the virus.”
He further added, “It is an unfair fight.”
On the other hand, Rome’s ISS public health institute presents the estimate that around 10% of the Coronavirus infected people in the country belong to the healthcare sector.

It is pertinent to mention that the list of deceased doctors also includes the ones who were retired. Italian government sought services of retired doctors to fight novel Coronavirus that has taken 17,669 lives in the Mediterranean.
