Two imams of the same mosque in Britain have died of coronavirus.

According to British media reports, two imams of a Masjid-al-Momineen mosque on  Ash Street in Blackburn area lost their lives due to the Novel coronavirus.

Maulana Abdul Majid and Maulana Abdul Razzaq were diagnosed with coronavirus a few months ago and were shifted to a hospital where they were passed away.

Both imams died at intervals of just 24 hours, and both had long been imams in local mosques.

On the other hand, the Muslim community expressed deep sorrow and grief over the deaths of the Imams and prayed for forgiveness for the deceased and paid condolences to the bereaved families.

A statement from the mosque said: “Due to the current Government guidelines we are unable to share funeral details with you.”

“We kindly request that you abide by these rules and support us in these difficult times.”

It should be noted that the number of people infected with coronavirus in the UK has exceeded to 152,000 while 20,732 people have died due to the deadly pandemic.
