Three people have died and three more have been wounded due to stabbing attack in a park in the UK.

Police confirmed that a suspect, 25, has been arrested from Reading after being detained at the scene. Counter-terrorism officers were called. Security forces informed the international news agency that the suspect arrested is thought to be Libyan.

The stabbing attack took place at Forbury Gardens at about 19:00 BST where many people were stabbed.

One witness informed the international news agency that he witnessed a man coming between groups of people in the park and trying to stab them. He also told how the suspect ran towards him.

According to the local source, reports came that a police officer had “rugby tackled” the suspect to the ground.

Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter, from Thames Valley Police, said that police are not searching for any other people as suspects.

He added: “This is not currently being treated as a terrorism incident, however officers are keeping an open mind as to the motivation for the incident and are being supported by colleagues from Counter Terrorism Policing South East.”

People who have made phone footage have been asked to come forward.

Man arrested for being involved in stabbing inside a Central Mosque in London.

The man was alleged to stab a victim in the attack. Paramedics took the victim to the hospital and he was out of danger.

Worshippers had apprehended a 29-year-old man as they broke from prayer to retain him until police reached the spot.

Sources from the mosque say that the injured man was the muezzin. He was stabbed shortly after 3 pm local time during afternoon prayer.
