Tel Aviv: The license of the US-based Christian TV channel in Israel has been revoked on charges of converting Jews to Christianity.

According to the Israeli News Agency, Shelanu TV, owned by parent company God TV has been accused by Israelis of forcing Jews to convert to Christianity by broadcasting material related to Christianity.

Israeli Communications Minister David Emselm has sharply criticized the US channel, saying it is a Christian missionary aimed at converting Jews to Christianity, and that the US Communications Ministry has revoked the channel’s license.

The director of the Channel said that we increase public awareness about Jesus who was himself a Jew. We present the Bible in the mother tongue of the Jews. He added that our goal from the beginning was to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ.

It should be noted that the Channel broadcasts in 200 countries while its number of followers is more than 10 million.
