The British government has started to develop plans that will prepare an army of health workers for the delivery of any vaccine that becomes ready and available.

The proposal showed that the government was looking towards pharmacists who were already administrating flu vaccines, midwives and philanthropists other than doctors and workers of the National Health Service (NHS).

The proposal was drafted with the concern that if a safe and effective vaccine did come into play, Human resource will be the biggest issue that will follow. For now no vaccine is expected to come into the market before Christmas.

The proposals that are being considered in a three week consultation, are designed to prevent any possible delays between when a vaccine is found and its delivery mechanism.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) said that they are also including the training of existing NHS staff, students, doctors and nurses. The training might also include other medical professionals such as dentists and veterinarians in case a requirement of more people comes.
