On Sunday an international think tank has placed Turkey’s first lady Emine Erdoğan among the top ten most influential Muslim figures of the world.

According to the details, Enime Erdogan has been nominated by the Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD) for its international Peach Awards 2020 for the ten leading Muslim figures for their services in different fields across the globe.

Along with Turkey’s first lady, the list included former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Muhammad, the head of Bahrain’s Council of Women Shaikha Noora Al Khalifa, Muslim World League Secretary-General Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa of Saudi Arabia, US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, UK House of Lords member Lord Nazir Ahmed and Ibrahim Bin Salah Al-Naumi, the Under Secretary of Higher Education and Chairman of the Doha International Center for interfaith Dialogue in Qatar.

Muhammad Tahir Tabassum, INSPAD’s president told the media that Enime was chosen for her services in the field of social development with the dedication of empowering women, social awareness, culture, environment, and arts.
