Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued introductions regarding the extensions of tourist visas.

As per the details, He has issued instructions extending tourist visas for one month without government fees, to solve the issues faced by visitors due to the closure of some airports around the world.

Visas of all the tourists visiting the UAE will be extended for one month without fees.

According to the international news source, government authorities will work to facilitate the tourists in the procedures and coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of all the tourists.

Major General Mohammad Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA), appreciated the new measure.

“The new order will enhance the tourists’ experience in visiting the country. It is a wise and humanitarian order by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, amid the current situation and challenges all around the world,” he told a news source.

Earlier in September, an Amer call center agent said the penalty for overstay is Dh200 for the first day. “The exact fine amount will be calculated by the immigration authorities at the airports. The fines are Dh200 for the first day of overstay, Dh100 each consecutive day, and Dh100 as service fees.”
