134 cars crash on Japanese highway as snow hits Japan

On the Japanese highway, there were 134 cars destroyed at a time as snow storm hits Japan.

According to the reports, one person was killed in this crash and a number of people were hurt, this crash was occurred on the Tohoku Express highway at around noon.

The Japanese authorities had forced a speed limit of 50 kph (31 mph) when heavy snow cut visibility but that was not enough to prevent disaster.

There were almost 200 people caught up in the crash with 12 people who were seriously injured were sent to the hospital.

Rescue operations were underway, Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato told reporters.

Parts of Japan have seen unusually heavy snow in recent weeks.
