Covid PCR test mandatory for employees every 7 days in UAE

All employees working in the UAE’s ministries and federal government departments now will have to undergo a PCR test for coronavirus every seven days.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced the new rule on Monday to overcome the spread of the novel Covid-19.

According to the notification, employees who have received both doses of coronavirus vaccine are exempted from the new policy.

Earlier, all federal government employees were asked to take a PCR test every 14 days at their own expense.

According to the international news agency, any employees with health conditions that prevent from getting the vaccine will have to take a PCR test. Now, the expense will be borne by the entity they work for.

Sharjah private school teachers asked to take PCR test every 14 days

On the other hand, teachers and other staff working at Sharjah’s private schools will have to undergo Covid-19 test every 14 days.

Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has said that the employees who received two doses of vaccine against Covid-19 are excluded from the mandatory nasal swab test that should be conducted at their own expense.
