Saudi Arabia has decided to reopen its embassy in Qatar soon.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has confirmed that the embassy will be reopened within “days”. The Kingdom will also be sending an ambassador to Doha soon.

“All four countries are in agreement on the importance of reconciliation with Qatar,” Prince Faisal said in an Al Arabiya report.

Airspace, land, and sea borders to Qatar have already been reopened by Saudi Arabia. Commercial flights between the two countries have been operating since January 14.

Saudi Arabia on Tuesday in a historical move has opened borders with Qatar after 3 years of deadlock.

According to the media reports, the move is to resolve the political dispute that led Riyadh and its allies to impose a boycott on Qatar.

The announcement came on the eve of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit and could pave the way towards ending a three-year-old feud.

Kuwait’s foreign minister, after the resumption of land border activities, Saudi Arabia is set to reopen its airspace and sea border as well.

“An agreement has been reached to open airspace and land and sea borders between Saudi Arabia and Qatar as of this evening,” he said in his statement.
