Israel’s former envoy to the United Nations has warned the United States against withdrawing from the nuclear deal without restrictions. He says Israel will look into possible retaliation.

“They know what our expectations are,” Danny Danon said in a statement to Newsweek.

“The Americans know the flaws in the nuclear deal. We have made it public in the past and I have presented it to the Security Council many times,” the former envoy added.

Danny Danon was appointed Israel’s envoy to the United Nations in July 2015, just a month after the Iran nuclear deal was struck. In his statement, Danen clarified the flaws in understanding. These include the development of Iranian ballistic missiles, limited uranium enrichment and support for regional militias.

The former Israeli envoy assured that the situation has only worsened in the last five years. If the United States puts these shortcomings aside and re-enters the nuclear deal, Israel will have to make difficult decisions regarding Iran.

The Israeli army’s chief of staff, Lieutenant General Afif Kochavi, announced late last month that he had “ordered the army to develop a number of action plans for the coming year. The plan once again calls for the development of a response option in the event of a possible return. ”

Note that the new administration informed Israel in advance that the US was ready to hold talks with Iran about the US-Iran returning to the 2015 nuclear agreement, Reuters reported.

Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has categorically said that he strongly opposes a Washington return to the nuclear deal with Tehran.
