Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country with four cars and a helicopter full of cash, claimed the Russian embassy in Kabul stated the Private news agency.

Ghani had to leave some money behind as all of it was not fitting in, claims reports.

Ashraf Ghani fled from Afghanistan on Sunday as the Taliban arrived in Kabul effectively unobstructed.

On the contrary, Ghani’s current whereabouts are unknown.

He said he wanted to avoid bloodshed.

Russia has stated that it will preserve a diplomatic appearance in Kabul and anticipate progress relations with the Taliban.

Russia further added that it is in no haste to distinguish the Taliban as the country’s leaders and will carefully perceive their behavior.

“As for the collapse of the (outgoing) regime, it is most eloquently characterized by the way Ghani fled Afghanistan,”, was quoted as saying by a Private news agency.

“Four cars were full of money, they tried to stuff another part of the money into a helicopter, but not all of it fit. And some of the money was left lying on the tarmac,” stated Ishchenko.

He quoted “witnesses” as the basis of his evidence. However, Reuters was not able to self-sufficiently authorize the legitimacy of Ischenko’s explanation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special representative on Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov previously stated that it was uncertain how much money the escaping government would leave behind.

“I hope the government that has fled did not take all the money from the state budget. It will be the bedrock of the budget if something is left,” Kabulov told Moscow’s Private radio station.
