After the Afghan government officials fled, the Taliban took control of the presidential palace and announced that the war in Afghanistan was over.

According to the details, there was an atmosphere of rapid progress, fear and chaos in Kabul on Sunday, after which the militants armed with heavy weapons finally took control of the empty presidential palace last night.

Meanwhile, Western countries were evacuating their citizens from Afghanistan, while hundreds of Afghans also arrived at Kabul airport to leave the country.

A spokesman for the Taliban’s political office told Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera that the groups did not want to be isolated and that the shape of Afghanistan’s new government would be clear soon.

At the same time, Mohammad Naeem called for peaceful international relations and said, “Thank God for the war in the country is over.”

The Taliban leader said, “We have achieved what we wanted to achieve, which is the freedom of our country and our people.”

He reiterated that we will not allow our land to be used against anyone and will not harm others.

It is believed that the militants entered the Afghan capital after conquering Dzhalal-Abad without any resistance, where talks were also held with the Afghan leader for a peaceful transfer of power.

On the other hand, the Taliban’s spokesperson  Zabihullah Mujahid shared a video in which the Taliban were reporting the ground reality of Kabul.

They said, ” The situation in Kabul is normal, the Mujahideen are busy providing security.”
