According to the New York Police Department a gunshot occurred at a Brooklyn subway station Tuesday morning during peak commuting hours for employees heading into Manhattan,

According to New York City Fire Department officials, at least 13 people were hurt.

A shooting occurred at the 36th St. station in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, according to a source. The department would not say how many people were shot or if there were any fatalities right away. The suspect has yet to be apprehended.

Firefighters responded to a request for smoke in the D-N-R lines. Units arrive to find multiple persons shot and several undetonated devices in the same area.
