Her seat on an American Airlines aircraft was duct-taped, and she got a record fine. The FAA fined an unnamed woman $81,950 for attacking the crew and trying to unlock the cabin door mid-flight.

The incident occurred in July of last year, but the FAA only announced the punishment on Friday. This is the biggest fine ever levied by the FAA.

The woman fell into the aisle during a late-night trip from Dallas to Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 6, 2021. The FAA stated she then threatened to harm the crew member who tried to rescue her.

The woman allegedly bit a flight attendant as she pushed forward to “open the front boarding door” while the plane was sailing.

A representative for the airline said she was detained “for the safety and security of other customers and the out crew.”

Despite being secured with flex cuffs, the lady managed to “spit at, headbutt, bite, and kick” the crew, according to The Daily Mail.

Her mouth and torso were then taped to a seat. After landing in Charlotte, the woman was taken to the hospital.

A user captured the whole thing and put it on TikTok. The lady screamed “You! You! You!” as commuters walked by her, the Post said.
