Austin: Threats of nuclear weapons being used in Ukraine war is ‘very dangerous and unhelpful’

Threats of the Ukraine war turning into a nuclear battle, according to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, are “very hazardous and counterproductive.”

“Nobody wants to see a nuclear war happen. It’s a war that where all sides lose,” he said.

Austin added, “And so rattling of sabers and, you know, dangerous rhetoric is clearly unhelpful and something that we won’t engage in.”
