Egypt tourist bus crash kills 10 people

A bus carrying tourists was involved in a traffic accident in Egypt that claimed the lives of ten individuals and wounded another 14.
At least 10 passengers, including four French and a Belgian, were killed after a tourist bus collided with a vehicle on a motorway in southern Egypt on Wednesday. The incident occurred about 34 miles south of Luxor, on the west bank of the Nile River, when the plane was its route to the temples of Esna.
Five Egyptians were also killed in the plane disaster. According to the Belgian and French governments, at least 14 people were hurt.
AFP reports that they suffered “broken bones, bruises, and superficial injuries,” but they were all in a stable condition.
Uncertainty surrounded the crash’s cause at first.
Online videos showed an on-fire tourist bus with firefighters battling the flames. One individual could be heard yelling, “A visitor is dying inside.”
The state-owned Misr Travel branding appeared on the bus in the video. An inquiry for comment was not answered by the Cairo-based agency.
Officials said the injured have been transferred to hospitals and are in a stable state of health.
Near the ancient Egyptian temple complex of Abu Simbel, the city of Aswan serves as a major tourist destination.
