Coca-Cola is the most valuable soft drink company in the world, with a market value of $284.20 billion.

Elon Musk, the billionaire, stunned the world when he announced his next acquisition: Coca-Cola. The announcement comes just one day after Tesla CEO Elon Musk took over Twitter.

Despite the fact that the Coca-Cola statement was intended in jest, it immediately drove the business world into a frenzy. Experts began to wonder if Musk could even pull something like this off.

“Next I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in,” he wrote to his over 87 million followers early Thursday. Statements like these are being scrutinized in order to determine how Musk will adjust the platform or what he will do next.

Coca-Cola is often regarded as the most valuable soft drink corporation in the world. A quick Google search reveals that its shares are worth more than the $54.20 a share Musk proposed for Twitter, with the stock trading at $65.56 on Thursday morning and a market capitalization of $284.20 billion.

Fintwit, a financial account, reacted to Musk’s statement with a screenshot showing Coca-valuation, Cola’s writing, “Elon, you’re too poor to buy Coca-Cola.”

According to Bloomberg, Mr. Musk is the world’s richest person, worth an estimated $289 billion. He is also the CEO of the world’s largest electric car firm, which lends credibility to his announcement.

His post alludes to the old beverage company’s tumultuous relationship with cocaine. Coca-distinctive Cola’s soft drink is called for its two main ingredients: coca leaves and kola nuts. Coca leaves are the base from which the psychoactive drug cocaine is produced, whereas kola nuts are a source of caffeine.
