What is the film about?

“Navalny,” a CNN documentary, follows Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny, who was poisoned with a nerve weapon on a flight to Moscow in August 2020.

According to the Russian state-owned news agency TASS, Navalny was sentenced to nine years in a maximum-security prison in March.

He was convicted on fraud charges stemming from allegations that he stole from his Anti-Corruption Foundation.

According to Russian state-owned news agency RIA, Navalny will appeal the guilty conviction.
