Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating their 11th wedding anniversary, but one thing is always missing from the picture-perfect couple: William’s wedding band.

The Duke of Cambridge hasn’t worn his wedding band in years, and according to OK! Magazine, it’s because he doesn’t like jewellery.

Prince William is never seen wearing the wedding band he chose for his wedding to Kate, according to an insider at the time.

“It was something the pair considered,” a St James’s aide said, “but Prince William isn’t one for jewellery – he doesn’t even wear a signet ring – and decided he didn’t want to.” It’s basically just a matter of personal taste.”

Kate and William married in a lavish royal wedding in 2011, which was broadcast worldwide and viewed by more than 300 million people.
