“History will not forget the war crimes,” says European Council President

Charles Michel, the President of European Council, said on Wednesday that “History will not forget the war crimes” that are being committed in Ukraine.

Michel’s social media account included pictures of Belgian Prime Minister visiting Ukraine.

“Like Bucha and too many other towns in Ukraine. History will not forget the war crimes that have been committed here. There can be no peace without justice,” he tweeted.

Michel shared a picture of his visit at a train station in Kyiv.

He said, “In the heart of a free and democratic Europe.”

Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo said that the atrocities faced by the people in Ukraine are comparable to the darkest pages in European history.
